About Empty Leg Exclusive

Editorial policy.

Empty Leg Exclusive content is written by the Empty Leg Exclusive Editorial Team to one standard: every statistic carries a named source, a link and a date; every price that is not a listed empty leg is labelled a model estimate with a link to the methodology; nothing is invented, including reviews, ratings, awards and staff; and the last-reviewed date on a page changes only when its content changes.

What we will not publish

Anything we cannot verify.

  • Invented listings, prices presented as live quotes, reviews, ratings, testimonials, awards, staff, authors, terminal names or airport facilities.
  • Statistics without a named source, a link and a date. Where sources disagree we show the range and say so.
  • Figures that circulate without a primary source, such as an industry cancellation rate for empty legs. We say that no audited figure exists.
  • Copy that implies we operate aircraft. We are a broker.

How prices are presented

Listed empty legs show the operator’s price plus our booking fee; everything else is a model estimate.

Estimates are built from published hourly-rate guides, a stated block-time formula and European Central Bank exchange rates, and are labelled as estimates wherever they appear. The full method, constants and sources are on the methodology page and are reviewed quarterly.

Who writes and reviews

The Empty Leg Exclusive Editorial Team, with no named aviation reviewer at present.

We do not invent reviewers. When a named aviation professional reviews our content, their name and role will appear on the pages they have reviewed. Until then, the reviewed line names the team.

How often content is reviewed

Statistics and prices quarterly; the board weekly; guides when something changes.

The “last reviewed” date on each page is the date the content itself was last checked or changed. Rebuilding the site does not change it.

Corrections

Tell us and we will fix it.

If you find an error, email fly@emptylegexclusive.com with the page address. Corrections that change a figure are noted on the page.

Frequently asked questions

How are the prices on this site calculated?

Listed empty legs show the operator’s price plus our booking fee. Every other figure is a model estimate: great-circle distance, a block-time formula and published hourly-rate bands per aircraft category, with empty legs modelled at 25–75% below the charter estimate. The method, sources and exchange-rate date are on the methodology page.

Does Empty Leg Exclusive operate the aircraft?

No. Empty Leg Exclusive is a charter broker. We act for you, not for the operator, and every quote names the certified operator that will fly you. Empty Leg Exclusive is an air charter broker, not an aircraft operator or direct air carrier. Empty Leg Exclusive arranges flights on behalf of its clients with independently certified operators, such as FAA Part 135 certificate holders and UK or EU Air Operator Certificate holders, who keep full operational control of every flight. The operating carrier is named on every quote.
