Tech stop.
A tech stop, or technical stop, is an intermediate landing made for operational reasons such as refuelling, a crew change or a minor technical check, during which passengers normally remain on board and do not begin or end their journey. Under the second freedom of the air, aircraft may stop in another country solely for refuelling or maintenance.

What does Tech stop mean in practice?
A tech stop happens when the route is longer than the aircraft can safely fly with your load and the required reserves.
A light jet crossing the Atlantic, a midsize jet flying Europe to the Gulf against a headwind, or any aircraft facing strong winds may need one. Expect the stop to add time for descent, refuelling, paperwork and climb, and often a landing and handling fee at the stop airport. Passengers usually stay seated; in some countries you can stretch your legs in the terminal, and in others immigration rules keep you on board. Historically Shannon and Gander served as refuelling points for transatlantic flights, and both are still used by business jets. A good broker will tell you at quotation whether a tech stop is likely, and will price it in. If non-stop matters, ask for a larger aircraft. If price matters more, a smaller aircraft with a tech stop can be cheaper overall.
