What is a midsize jet like in practice?
More cabin, more range and more baggage. The step up for groups or anyone flying three to four hours.
Midsize jets are common on London to Greece, Turkey and the Canaries, and on Middle East sectors. Expect a proper galley, a separate lavatory and enough hold space for a family holiday.
Best for: Longer European and Mediterranean flights of up to four hours, groups of seven or eight, or anyone who wants to stand up in the cabin.

Questions about midsize jets
Can I stand up in a midsize jet?
On most, yes. Cabin height is typically 1.7 to 1.8 metres, so most adults can move around without crouching.
How far can a midsize jet fly non-stop?
Around 2,000 to 2,800 nautical miles. London to Dubai is at the edge and usually needs a fuel stop; London to Athens or Marrakech is comfortable.
Is catering included?
A standard cold platter and drinks are usually included. Specific requests, hot meals and champagne are arranged with the operator and charged at cost.
Do you pay per seat or for the whole aircraft?
Almost always the whole aircraft. An empty leg on an eight-seat jet costs the same for one passenger or eight, which is why empty legs work best for groups. A few operators and apps sell single seats on selected flights; where that applies, the listing says so.
